MSN, CNP, FNP-BC
Mike Wilkinson, MSN, CNP, FNP-BC is a native of Longview, TX and has been a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner for the last 9 years. Prior to dermatology, Mike worked in Emergency medicine for years. He graduated from University of Texas at Arlington in 1993. At Naval Officer Indoctrination School Mike was the Honor Graduate of 187 personnel. He spent many different tours with the Navy overseas and stateside working as a Nurse in Orthopedics, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, and Operational Medicine specializing in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and High-Yield Explosives, and also Family Practice and Wellness. He received his Masters Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2005 while he was stationed at NAS Corpus Christi and was the Honor Graduate of his class at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. He retired as a Lieutenant Commander after 23 years of military service, and his highest award was the Meritorious Service Medal. He started working in Emergency medicine in Texas and transferred to North Carolina. His passion became Dermatology, and in 2008 he accepted a one year internship from a Dermatologist and that started his current career. He worked in a very busy practice by himself in Smithfield, NC and Wilson, NC. Mike wanted to move to Alamogordo, NM because of the outdoor lifestyle. Mike is married to his wife Michelle and, he has two grown daughters. His hobbies are fishing, hunting, and riding Mountain bikes.
Mike specializes in medical and surgical dermatology to including skin, hair, and nails. His passion is treating patients with skin cancers and difficult to treat itching conditions. Please look at our dermatology specific page for more information?
Billing Specialist: Megan
Dr. Frost has been practicing Otolaryngology in Alamogordo since 1993 and has enjoyed providing care for a broad range of ENT problems to the children and adults of southern New Mexico ever since. His areas of special interest are nasal and sinus disease. He has particularly enjoyed the successes afforded by the new minimally invasive procedure for treating sinus disease; Balloon Sinuplasty. This procedure has helped hundreds of patients over the last several years since the advent of this technology, decreasing the need for formal sinus surgery.
Dr. Frost grew up in Ohio and Atlanta. He graduated from Duke University Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biochemistry. He then received his M.D. degree from the 3rd ranked medical school in the country, Washington University in Saint Louis, graduating with honors as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical society. His residency in Otolaryngology was completed at University of Illinois at Chicago. After graduating from Residency he did an additional year of advanced fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Louis University.
Dr. Frost is Board Certified in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society and Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
